Planning your estate and have a will that includes a self-proving affidavit? I can help you complete the notarization portion correctly and efficiently. In California, a will itself typically does not require notarization, but a self-proving affidavit does. This affidavit helps streamline the probate process by confirming that the will was properly signed and witnessed. All documents must be completed (no blanks), except for the signatures, as all persons signing (testator and witnesses) will need to sign in front of the notary. Here’s what to expect during your visit: • The testator and two witnesses must all appear in person • The testator is responsible for bringing their own witnesses • All signers must present valid identification • I will administer an oath or affirmation to each signer • The affidavit (not the will) is notarized using a jurat 📍 Office hours: Monday–Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM 🚶 Walk-ins welcome — no appointment needed 💲 Notary fee: $15 per notarized signature (For a typical self-proving affidavit, total fees are usually $45) Please note: I am not an attorney and cannot provide legal advice.
